PRIVATE AND GROUP LESSONS
GROUP WORKSHOPS for the study of djembe and related West African drums, as well as PRIVATE TUTORING for those interested in becoming proficient at polyrhythmic hand-drumming with roots directly from Africa. KD has studied the music of West Africa and it's philosophy.
KD also now teaches private lessons in all phases of percussion at the bay area's finest music store and the only one that is "drums only".

RECORDINGS
Audio mp3 of original song recorded in 1987 by KD's group "Elysian Fields". It's based on the African people before slavery (the upbeat drum intro), and then the sadness of being torn from family and sold into slavery. It's called "Skies in Tears"...one drummer is very much alone at the end. The song features my friend David Muse (Firefall) on sax and flute.
